What learners say after studying with us
These are honest accounts from people who have studied at Chalad Academy — what worked well, what took time to get used to, and what they took away from the experience.

Waranya Phongsakul
Graphic designer, Bangkok — AI Essentials
I had no coding background at all when I started. The first two sessions felt challenging, but Piyaporn was very patient and never made me feel slow. By week five I was writing my own Python scripts and actually understanding what they were doing — not just copying from a tutorial. The pace was right for me.

Somsak Chantharakul
Finance analyst, Nonthaburi — ML Track
The Hands-On track was a good match for where I was. I came in knowing some Python but had never touched ML properly. Working with actual datasets — rather than clean example data — was more difficult than I expected, but that difficulty taught me a lot. The small group meant I could ask questions without waiting. I'd have liked slightly more time on model evaluation, but overall it was worth it.

Nattaya Thitirat
Researcher, Chiang Mai — Capstone
I live in Chiang Mai so the online format was the only reason this was possible. Kritphat was thorough and honest — when my initial project idea was too broad, he helped me narrow it rather than just letting me struggle. The finished portfolio piece was something I was actually proud to put on GitHub. The mentorship felt genuinely personalised.

Pornthip Laosirikul
Operations manager, Bangkok — AI Essentials
What I liked most was that the coordinator, Nareerat, was straightforward from the beginning — about what the course covered, what I'd need to commit to each week, and how the sessions would run. Nothing was oversold. I went in with accurate expectations and finished feeling like I'd actually learned what I came to learn.
June 2025
Kittisak Montri
IT support engineer, Bangkok — ML Track
I had tried two other online ML courses before this one. Both of them moved quickly and left me copying code I didn't understand. At Chalad Academy the pace was noticeably different — slower in a good way, with more explanation at each step. I'd have appreciated more on deep learning towards the end, but for building a solid foundation this was the right place.

Arunee Suwattana
University lecturer, Khon Kaen — Capstone
Being in Khon Kaen and taking a Bangkok-based course might have been awkward, but the scheduling was flexible enough that it didn't matter. My capstone project focused on text classification for Thai academic records, which was a niche area, and Kritphat engaged seriously with the domain rather than just pointing me to generic tutorials. That made a real difference to the quality of the final project.

Learner journeys in more detail
Three longer accounts of the process — from first enquiry through to the end of the course.
Waranya — Graphic designer to Python learner
AI Essentials Course · 7 weeks · Completed May 2025
Challenge
Waranya wanted to understand how AI tools that touched her design work actually functioned. She had no coding background and felt that most learning resources assumed too much from the start.
Approach
She enrolled in the AI Essentials Course and worked through Python syntax, data handling, and a first ML model across seven weeks, with sessions twice a week in the evenings to fit her studio schedule.
Outcome
By the end of the course she could read and modify Python scripts and understood the basic structure of a machine learning pipeline. She has since started the Hands-On ML Track.
"I thought I'd need a year of preparation before starting something like this. The Essentials course showed me I could just start from where I was."
Somsak — Finance analyst building ML fluency
Hands-On ML Track · 11 weeks · Completed April 2025
Challenge
Somsak had Python experience from university but had never applied it to ML. He wanted to move from coding exercises into working with actual business data, without a fixed timetable that conflicted with quarterly reporting cycles.
Approach
The Hands-On ML Track was scheduled around his work calendar, shifting session times slightly during peak periods. He worked through classification, regression, and clustering exercises using datasets from finance-adjacent domains.
Outcome
Completed the track with confidence in the standard scikit-learn workflow and an understanding of how to evaluate model performance. He has applied these skills to internal projects at his company since completing the course.
"The schedule flexibility was what made it possible for me to commit. Without that, I wouldn't have finished."
Nattaya — Researcher building a portfolio project
Capstone & Portfolio Mentorship · 3.5 months · Completed May 2025
Challenge
Nattaya had completed online ML courses elsewhere but had never built something she could point to as evidence of her skills. She needed a structured way to take a project from idea to finished, presentable work.
Approach
Through 1-on-1 mentorship with Kritphat, she built a text classification model on Thai academic documents. The mentor helped narrow the project scope in week two when it became clear the initial brief was too broad to deliver in the timeframe.
Outcome
Finished with a documented, working project on GitHub and a presentation she used in a department seminar at her university. Described the mentorship relationship as the most useful learning she had experienced in this field.
"Kritphat never just gave me the answer. He asked the right questions so I found it myself. That made all the difference to how much I actually learned."
